What is Best Bar None?

Best Bar None is a national accreditation and awards scheme supported by the Home Office and the drinks industry. It is aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises, as well as supporting Woking’s night-time economy.

Licensed premises that apply to become Woking Best Bar None accredited are assessed to determine whether they meet an agreed set of operational standards. If they do, they will become either a Gold, Silver or Bronze Woking Best Bar None accredited venue.

Each year all Gold accredited venues have the chance to win awards chosen by an independent panel of judges – and you by making your voice heard in the People’s Choice Award.

What does this mean for you, the customer?

Wherever you see the Woking Best Bar None window accreditation sticker, you can be assured that the premises has met specific criteria to provide you with a safe environment to enjoy.

“Taking part in Best Bar None last year was invaluable to me as a person, and my business. Trade has increased, our compliance is better so we stand in a better place all round. The BBN team were definitely incredibly helpful, informative and very informed on all aspects of the scheme and excellent with regards to the paperwork and processes that we either should, or did, have in place to attain the Gold standard”
